I'm not sure if I ever heard death metal this edgy and simultaneously 'catchy' before. The remarkable riffs go straight into the ear and stay there although the brain refuses to process at first because there's do much going on. Quirky, brutal, ambitious and absolutely fresh and fantastic!

Outstanding death metal with blackened touches. For those who dig Beherit, Cryptopsy or Demoncy, check out this LP. Much of this LP owes its brilliance to those who went before; that is, this artist does not deny metal traditions. But there is no pre-fabricated art here, as there is a strong, unique vision in all of the songwriting. The riffs all make sense in their given context; there's nothing that seems superfluous. Very highly recommended listening. Look forward to more from Blood Urn! Wow!
